Craniosacral Therapy (CST)
A gentle yet profound hands-on therapy that helps the body release restrictions that lead to pain and dysfunction. The focus is on the craniosacral system. The craniosacral system is made up of the membranes and fluid that surround, protect, and nourish the central nervous system (CNS).
Therapy for Tongue and Lip Ties
What is a Tie? A tie is when there thick or tight tissue in the mouth, typically seen at the tongue, lip, and cheeks. Ties, also called tethered oral tissues (TOTs), can lead to decreased movement and function of the baby’s tongue, lip and cheeks causing difficulty with feeding. This can also cause increased tension and tightness throughout baby’s body.
Myofascial Release (MFR)
A safe, gentle, holistic treatment that treats myofascial connective tissue restriction. The restrictions can cause pain and decrease range of motion. Trauma, inflammatory responses, birth, birth trauma and/or surgical procedures can create myofascial restrictions.

Why Physical Therapy for a tongue tie? Physical Therapy decreases pain, improves motion, increases strength and improves posture. A baby with ties, tend to have increased tension, that presents as strength, have a preferred side to be held on, look toward, eat on, etc. PTs, who further specialize in tethered oral tissue, treat the whole-body and teach your baby how to use their muscles and move their body for improved feeding before and after a tie release. We can perform body work, provide infant massage, mobilize joints, release fascia and help you choose the best equipment for your baby.
